The Getaway

The next morning, everyone woke up early to prepare for the trip home. People gave their vacation time lovers tearful goodbyes and returned to their rooms to change out of their crossdressed personas. The guys who had grown their hair long for the vacation took turns getting their hair cut at the barber, and the women who had cut their hair short went to the beauty salon to get their hair styled in a more feminine look. When they gathered near the runway it was strange seeing so many more guys than girls. All the guys who had been girls on the trip were now dressed in suits, except for Marcia who was a woman from now on.
While most everyone was already on the runway, Reggie was sitting alone in the lobby. He was wearing a suit and had cut his hair short. He was starting a new job soon at a financial company and would not be performing as Regina in the foreseeable future. While he didn't plan to give up Regina completely, he wanted to make a good impression at his new job and that wouldn't leave him much free time for a while. Alejandro had come to his room earlier that morning and told him he had a surprise for him before he left. Reggie checked his watch, not wanting to miss his flight, when he noticed a woman enter the room. She was wearing a short summer dress and wedge platform heels. Reggie didn't recognize her as anyone he had met on the island, but found her to be very beautiful. When she got closer to him, he finally recognized her.
"Alejandro?" he said in surprise.
"Please, call me Alejandra," she responded, "since everyone was changing, I wanted you to see how I look when I'm not dressed as a guy. The hair is a wig, but the breasts and everything else are real. I even got a wax this morning to get rid of all that stubble. I'd forgotten how much those hurt."
"You look amazing," Reggie said, "it's hard to believe that underneath the prosthetic chest and fake facial hair is this gorgeous woman."
"I know," Alejandra said, "I would never give up being a woman, but I also enjoy the freedom of getting to become a man whenever I'd like. I wanted to ask you one more time to stay with me and show you that I am willing to be with you as a boy or a girl or as both."
"I'm sorry," Reggie said, "you are very beautiful as a woman and very handsome as a man, but I love Rachel very much. I hope we can pick up where we left off next summer, but for now I have to go."
"You're right," Alejandra said, "it was wrong for me to ask. I look forward to next summer and perhaps I will grow my hair and we could go on a date as Reggie and Alejandra. You are quite handsome as a boy."
They kissed each other and Reggie said goodbye. He hurried to the runway where he saw everyone lining up. Relieved that he didn't miss the plane, he found Rachel and told her about his goodbye and his kiss with Alejandra. She told him that she didn't mind since they were still on vacation, but that once they got on the plane she better be the only girl he kisses. Reggie told her she would be and kissed her. They gathered with their friends as they waited to board the plane.
Charles walked in front of the group and thanked everyone for experiencing this trip with him and invited them to attend the next retreat. While not everyone would return the following year, each of them had made memories that would last a lifetime. After his speech, Charles went to find Desiree in the crowd.
"So did you have a good time with Brandi?" he asked.
"Yes, she was a very sweet girl," Desiree said as she smiled at Brandon, "I quite enjoyed her company."
"I'm just glad you weren't alone," Charles said as he kissed her, "you know you actually look pretty good with short hair."
"Thanks," she said, "but I'd much rather have long hair. Hopefully it grows back in time for our wedding."
"Don't worry," Charles said, "we can postpone the wedding until your hair is the way you like it."
The planes were soon ready and everyone lined up and got on board. Everyone had returned to their previous relationships, but would occasionally share glances with those they had spent their vacation with. When the planes landed everyone thanked Charles once again and some told him they would definitely be back next year. Once everyone was gone, Charles and Desiree got into a limo where his parents were waiting for him.
"So I see your first hosting experience was a success," Simon said, "hopefully next year your mother and I could join you. It's been a while since I've gotten to dress as Simone."
"I hope so," Charles said as they drove home.
Eight months later, Desiree had re-grown her hair to a length she was satisfied with and a large wedding was held. Charles stood at the altar with Stan, his best man, as Desiree walked down the aisle in her wedding dress. Stan eventually found a girlfriend and they decided that it was time to end Stan and Charlene's relationship. While Charlene was disappointed to be losing Stan, she had a new man in her life. Several months later, Charlene descended the stairs on the arm of the handsome Desmond as she prepared to address her guests at the next retreat. Standing proudly behind them were Charlene's mother, Jenna, and her father, who was now dressed as Simone. Charlene smiled at Desmond and began to address the crowd.
